Adjustable Straps

The OllyDog Trekker RF Dog Pack has eleven adjustable straps, making it very adaptable. Three straps meet at a well-padded chest-plate. There are two girth straps to help secure the backpack. There are three straps on each side that attach the saddlebags to the central frame. All of the straps are adjustable.

Materials and Durability

OllyDog’s motto is ‘For paws, people, and the planet’. They are fully committed to using 100% recycled materials in all their products. This does not mean, however, that the OllyDog Trekker RF Dog Pack is not practical and durable. The primary material is recycled polyester with a silicon gel handle and aluminum hardware. This dog backpack comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers the workmanship and materials against defects for the entire life cycle of the product.

While the polyester material is waterproof, the zips are not, so if your dog gets wet, the chances are the contents of the backpack will also be damp. Most dirt should simply brush off when dry, but you can wash the backpack in cold water with a pet-safe detergent. Air dry only; polyester will be damaged if put in a drier.

Handles

There is a handle located on top of the main body of the OllyDog Trekker RF Dog Pack running lengthways. It is made of silicone gel to feel comfortable when you grip it. This handle is not designed to lift your dog, but it is intended for helping your pet over obstacles and giving extra control if needed.

Leash Attachment Points

Two leash attachment points are on top of the OllyDog Trekker RF Dog Pack’s main body. They are located at each end of the handle, one at the front and one at the back. The rings are made of aluminum and firmly stitched into the backpack’s material so you can feel confident using them.

You get three choices of colors – Raven Black, Dahlia (Purple) or Atlantic Blue. There are also bright yellow/orange tabs sewn into the seams, and the zip puller is a similar color. The piping in the pockets is white, and it is also reflective to aid visibility at night.
