Title: Gear reviewer
Areas of expertise
Hiking & backpacking – I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible!
Skills I bring to the table
Gear testing through my time hiking and backpacking (I’m fortunate to work in the outdoors full time).
Background
I used to manage skydiving operations for some of the largest dropzones in the world. I was a Federal Aviation Administration Senior Parachute Rigger and Safety & Training Advisor for the United States Parachute Association. After almost 17 years, I decided to slow things down a bit and get back to basics in the wilderness.
What I write about
Naturally with what I do with my day to life I spend a lot of time hiking and backpacking, so gear testing forms a very natural part of this.
About me
I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible and making the World a better place with our non-profit organization. I work full time in the outdoors as the co-founder and Chief Efficiency Officer for Hiking My Feelings and WITW Consulting. I handle safety and planning for our stewardship and self-care retreats within the National Park Service and on Public Lands.
Why I care about what I do
We come from nature, we aren’t separate from it. So many people are so disconnected from nature and we want to change that. Once we get reconnected, we will learn to care about our planet. This is our home, let’s take care of it.
